NC KIDS MINISTRY AT NORTH CENTRAL CHURCH
Helping children encounter God and grow in a thriving relationship with Him - one that will last throughout their lifetime.
What is NC Kids Ministry?
We view our time in North Central Kids more than playtime or babysitting. God has given us an opportunity to speak into the lives of future leaders and present-day world changers. At North Central Church, we believe that children are never too young to experience the presence of God and the power of the Holy Spirit working in their lives.

What We Do
Through our Sunday services, we hope to demonstrate and teach kids about the importance of studying the Bible and spending time in community with other believers.
OUR MISSION / VISION
To help children encounter God and grow in a thriving relationship with Him - one that will last throughout their lifetime, and to create a place where children see and feel the presence of God. We want our Kid’s Ministry to be one of their favorite places to be.
OUR FUNDAMENTALS
We build each class/service around three fundamentals:
LOVE - We want every child to feel loved, safe and accepted.
FUN - We believe that children learn and connect through play.
JESUS - We teach lessons that give every child the opportunity to experience and grow with God.
OUR VALUES
SAFETY - The safety of every child and volunteer is a top priority. That is why we have policies and procedures in place. Knowing everyone is safe, we can then minister effectively.
FUN - Our goal is to make every service the most exciting and fun hour of their week. To accomplish this, we want our services to be high energy, interactive and engaging for both the children and for those serving.
FAMILY - Our desire is to partner with parents in the development of their children’s relationship with God. We encourage parents to volunteer or be a part of the happenings at North Central Church. We also focus on providing events, groups, and services where families can come together to make connections that foster a deeper sense of community.

Frequently Asked
Questions
What can I expect on my first visit?
First of all, welcome! We’re so excited to see you! Upon arrival, follow the signs to the NC Kids check-in area. If you need any help, find a volunteer wearing an NC Kids shirt—they’ll point you in the right direction. Because of our commitment to safety, you’ll check your child(ren) in using our check-in system. If your child has any special concerns or allergies that our team needs to know, please tell the volunteers at check in. We want to do the best we can to safely accommodate everyone! During the service, you can expect your kid(s) to hear a lesson about the gospel told in kid-friendly language, worship as a group, complete activities that relate to the lesson, and learn a monthly memory verse in a fun and safe environment.
How do I check-in my child?
We’ll have signs pointing you to the check-in area where one of our NC Kids volunteers will be available to help. Because of our commitment to safety, every child will need to be checked in and out using our check-in system. If it’s your first visit, we’ll ask for a bit of family information—your full name, your child’s full name, their birthday, your contact information, and any special instructions or allergy information. Once your child has been checked in, you’ll receive corresponding parent and child stickers which will be used to pick your child up after the worship service has ended.
My child has special needs. What steps are taken to make your environments inclusive?
We want every child who comes to NC Kids to have a place to belong and be ministered to on their level. Kids Ministry is one of the most rewarding things in life. For the past 25+ years of Children’s Ministry, I have never failed to be amazed at the awesome privilege it is to partner with families and teach them about the love of God. As we play games, do crafts, dance to worship music, and teach Bible lessons, we are teaching future generations of children that they matter, they are loved, and that they have a God-given purpose. This generation of children face many things at their young age that we may have never imagined. But I believe God wants to use them in a mighty and powerful way. That is why, from the youngest to the oldest children in our care, we teach them the Word of God and how to pray. We stand by the belief that there is no age limit to encountering God in a real way.
