When it comes to the Christian life, love is at the heart of everything we’re called to do. Jesus didn’t just encourage us to love; He raised the standard. In John 13:34, He gave His disciples a new commandment: “Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” This wasn’t the ordinary love the world knows—this was revolutionary. Jesus calls us to love selflessly, sacrificially, and unconditionally, just as He loved us. It’s through this radical kind of love that people will recognize us as His followers. So, what’s love got to do with it? Absolutely everything. Love is the defining mark of our faith, the foundation of our relationships, and the clearest reflection of Christ in us.
