Kingdom Journey: Philippians

The book of Philippians is a letter from the Apostle Paul to the church in Philippi, a city in modern-day Greece. Throughout the letter, Paul writes to encourage and exhort the believers, reminding them of the key beliefs of the Christian faith, warning them against false teachings, and urging them to stand firm in faith amidst persecution and opposition. One of the key themes of Philippians is joy - an idea that might seem odd given the dire circumstances Paul finds himself in at the time of writing. Yet, Paul's joy is not rooted in his circumstances but in his faith in Christ. He writes, "Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!" (Philippians 4:4 NIV) This book is a beautiful and inspiring reminder of what it means to follow Christ, even in the midst of difficulty and hardship.
