Get Plugged-In to God

In chapter four, Mary Mohler states that we should be careful not to let busyness be the hallmark of our lives. So true. I was able to see firsthand God’s provision of energy on a mission’s trip to Haiti in 2016. Throughout the stay, we ministered to children, fellowshipped with the team and did light chores. In the evenings, the group would plan for the next day’s activities and worked together to complete the materials needed. After dinner, we spent time in devotion and responded to the question, “Where did you see God today?”. It’s a great question and one I have come to reflect on since.

Each day I saw God in the faces, hugs, smiles, and laughter of the team as they played with the children, performed biblical songs and stories and held the sweet babies. For me, that was a great example of carrying out God’s assignment with the energy He provided. When we stay plugged in with God, we will live out Isaiah 26:3, “You will keep the mind that is dependent on You in perfect peace, for it is trusting in You.”

Where did you see God today?
